Loris Karius out for 10 weeks:
The German shot-stopper who made a move to Liverpool early in the transfer window rejected a chance to travel to the Olympics and stayed with the club for its pre-season tour.
He was all set to be the first choice goalkeeper next season replacing Simon Mignolet but the German has now injured himself and is out for upto 10 weeks. In the game against Chelsea, he and Dejan Lovren were involved in a clash that is reported as the reason for the injury and it is revealed that he will have to undergo a surgery in the coming days.
Simon Mignolet is now expected to start for the Reds against Arsenal for the first game of the season while Alex Manninger will be his deputy on the bench.
