Italian star eyed, but Liverpool rejected:
The Reds were up today to the news that the club is making a move for Italian defender Mattia De Sciglio as a replacement for Alberto Moreno in the first team.
The AC Milan full-back is one of the best players in his position in his country and has been an important part of the Italian national squad over the years. At just 23, he is a great prospect and it was understood that Liverpool were readying a £16m bid for the Italian this summer.
But the news was soon cooled down with the player reportedly revealing that he will only leave Milan for a place in the Juventus squad. He now adds to the long list of full-backs Liverpool have failed to land this summer.
