The Reds lack a genuine left-back in their first team with James Milner, a makeshift defender, cementing a place in the starting XI this season.
Klopp has been looking at options in this position and identified Schalke’s Sead Kolasinac as a potential star who could move to Anfield. He is out of a contract at the end of the season and Klopp wanted the German outfit to sell this January but Schalke director of football Christian Heidl said in a recent interview that the player is not for sale this month.
