Liverpool have been on the lookout for defenders who can make their back line stronger and have been looking at Southampton’s Jose Fonte for a while now.
The Portuguese was not ready for a move in the summer when the Reds were interested in his signature but the 32-year old is not ready to make a move away from the club and has officially asked to be sold. Liverpool and Manchester United are set to fight it out for his signature in January. (Daily Star)
