Liverpool Transfer Roundup: 2 New Links, 2 Big Updates and 1 Done Deal

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are one of the busiest clubs in the competition this season as they are busy with their FA Cup fixture just days after the stalemate at the Old Trafford.

The manager will hope that his side can take this game by the scruff of the neck and pass into the next round but he will know that his team needs a bit more depth to stay in the fight on all three fronts.

This has seen Klopp scout for a number of star players with the club linked with some big names in recent times.

Liverpool joins the race for starlet:

The Reds are desperately searching for young stars who can help the team in the future and they have been monitoring the situation of young Leon Bailey for a while now.

The 19-year old Genk winger is in sublime form this season and is wanted by a number of English clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton. The player is ready to leave and Klopp is determined to land him this January. (Daily Mail)

Place in for Sakho:

The French defender has not been in the plans of the manager at Anfield who froze him out of the first team after his antics in the US.

Sakho has not future at Anfield and is ready to leave the club with the likes of Nice, Galatasaray, Sevilla and West Brom all monitoring his situation. Premier League outfit Crystal Palace are the latest team linked with a move for the 27-year old this January. (Daily Mail)

Transfer blow from France:

The Reds are also looking at established stars who can improve the squad for the rest of the season and have had an eye on want-away attacker Jese Rodriguez for a while now.

The former Real Madrid man is unsettled at his new club in Paris and is looking for a way out and Liverpool are interested in getting him to Anfield. But the player today revealed that he will only exit PSG for a return back to Spain. (Metro)

Berardi fight:

Jurgen Klopp and his scouts have been busy this transfer window scouting for genuine talent and they are having an eye on Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi.

Though the Reds were favorites to sign him at a point of time, they are now ready to face competition from Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus for his signature. Liverpool wants the 22-year old for the next season and are readying a bid for the summer. (talksport)

Ilori official:

The Portuguese defender has not been able to break into the first team under Jurgen Klopp and was up for sale at the start of the month.

Championship outfit Reading were interested in his signature and a have finally completed a deal for the defender today. The 23-year old moved to Anfield in 2013 but has now sealed a permanent switch to Reading for a fee of £3.75m. He has signed a 4-year contract with his new club. (Reading official)
