Louis van Gaal insists United are not done yet in the transfer market

Twenty times Premier League champions Manchester United made huge mark in this season’s transfer market last week when they roped in German midfield maestro Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich. Alongside the German they also acquired the services of Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton and Matteo Darmian from Torino.

The Red Devils are still linked with several other big names, most prominent being Real madrid’s Sergio Ramos. Valencia CF’s Nicolas Otamendi is another defender who is speculated to make a move to Old Trafford this summer.

Regarding the transfer targets, MUTV quoted Louis van Gaal:I hope so. No, we are not finished yet, I think.

It is what I have said already in many press conferences. We need a balance in the selection and I think we still need to improve at least two positions and we shall do that when it is possible.

But we shall only buy when the player can give a contribution to our level. And, of course, that is in the eyes of our staff, but I have to have confidence that he can cope with the rhythm of the Premier League.

Louis van Gaal clearly pointed out that he still needs one or two players to maintain the balance of their squad. Nicolas Otamendi in the defense and a quality striker upfront would make the Red Devils a world class side.
