Ludogorets Razgrad vs Arsenal Preview: Team news, predicted lineups, key stats, betting odds, prediction

Brimming with confidence, Arsenal will look to continue their impressive run this season when they travel to Sofia on Tuesday night to face Ludogorets Razgrad.

After the uninspiring draw against Middlesbrough, the Gunners thrashed Sunderland by 4-1 to get their campaign back on track. Still unbeaten in the Champions League, the North London club would look to strengthen their grip on the top spot with another win on the Bulgarian champions.

On the other hand, Ludogorets will be keen to put on a better display this time. They were thrashed 6-0 at the Emirates a fortnight ago and need to be at their best to avoid another poor result. Arsene Wenger fielded a strong team in that match and it will be interesting to see his team selection this time as his team will play against bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Team news:

Ludogorets Razgrad:

With no injury concerns, Ludogorets will be able to field their strongest lineup. The Bulgarian outfit is in good form in the domestic league and will look to replicate that against the English outfit to keep their hopes of European football alive.

Predicted lineup: Vladislav Stoyanov, Yordan Minev, Cosmin Moti, Jose Luis Palomino, Natanael Pimienta, Svetoslav Dyakov, Anicet, Virgil Misidjan, Marcelinho, Wanderson, Jonathan Cafu.

Arsenal:

The North London club received a timely injury boost with the return of Aaron Ramsey in the win over Sunderland on Saturday. However, in-form forward Theo Walcott is a doubt for the clash. Arsene Wenger told reporters on Friday that the England international is dealing with a hamstring injury and with the London derby on Sunday, he will not take any chance. Per Mertesacker, Chuba Akpom, Lucas Perez and Danny Welbeck will miss the game due to injuries.

Predicted lineup: David Ospina, Carl Jenkinson, Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Kieran Gibbs, Mohamed Elneny, Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alex Iwobi, Olivier Giroud.

Stats:

  • The home team has lost just thrice in their last 18 matches in all competitions. Two of those defeats came against Arsenal and PSG in the Champions League.
  • The visitors are unbeaten in their last 13 matches in all competitions.
  • Arsenal has scored 16 goals in their last 6 games.
