Modric, who played 11 matches in the Champions League in the last season scored once and assisted once. However, his contribution was phenomenal throughout, and he played a significant role in his side’s hattrick of Champions League wins.

However, despite scoring 15 goals in the Champions League, Ronaldo had to remain satisfied with the forward of the year award only. While Mohamed Salah, who had a breathtaking run in the Champions League had to remain empty-handed.
