Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has sensationally took a dig at Pep Guardiola insisting that the Bayern boss should not assume he will get a Premier League job next season.

The arrogant Dutch boss is not at all concerned about any rumours suggesting the Spanish tactician might replace van Gaal at Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United manager van Gaal suggested: “It’s not for sure he will be the manager of a Premier Club next season.

“The Premier League club are also has part in the contract.

“I am at the end of my career so for me it is not so interesting. For me it is interesting how I take care of Manchester United in my contract and I still have one year to go after this season.”

Not that LVG is critical of the former Barcelona’s boss’s announcement few days ago that he has a desire to manage in English Premier League.

The Dutch tactician said: “It’s not so strange, you have to always set your goals, as a manager also.

“Managers have ambitions too and he wants to sniff the culture of England and I wanted that also and I think that it is very good.

“Every manager has that right to announce that.”

Van Gaal finds himself in a safe zone at Old Trafford now after a home draw against Chelsea and a much needed win over Swansea which ended an eight game run without a win.

Today United face League One side Sheffield United in the FA Cup. They last won this tournament in 2004 with a 3-0 victory over Millwall.

They however almost retained the FA Cup in 2005 but lost on penalties to Arsenal and tasted defeat once again in the first final at the new Wembley 1-0 at the hands of Chelsea in 2007.

The former Barcelona boss is being targeted by three Premier League giants Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City while several inconclusive reports about an offer by French champions Paris Saint-Germain have been rubbished by the Spanish tactician’s agent Josep Maria Orobitg recently.

Manchester City right now looks most likely to land Guardiola next season, where he would be re-joining Barcelona colleagues Txiki Begiristain (director of football) and Ferran Serriano (chief executive officer).

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was also desperate to temp Pep Guardiola to Stamford Bridge with a massive contract along with huge spending fee to overhaul the Chelsea squad next summer despite appointing Guus Hiddink as interim manager for the rest of this season.
