Manchester United now see Monday night’s shocking axe of Rafa Benitez an encouraging sign in their pursuit to succeed a record breaking deal for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

Manchester United are all set to re-launch a staggering £75million-plus bid to rope in Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, according to Daily Mirror.

The red part of Manchester see Monday night’s shocking axe of Rafa Benitez as somehow an encouraging sign in their long term race to pull off a record-breaking deal for Gareth Bale.

Although Benitez’s replacement Zinedine Zidane has made it clear publicly that they will not let go the Welshman, he was really thriving under recently sacked Benitez and it is suggested the new Real boss will be disappointed to see him leave.

Former Liverpool and Chelsea manager Benitez tried his best to build the squad around £85m attacker Bale, not Ronaldo and he also scored against Valencia on Sunday night which was his ninth goal of the season.

United still need a creative firepower and are desperate to bring in a Galactico like Bale as the 26-year-old forward their top priority target and after Benitez’s sacking the Red Devils now believe their chances have improved now.

If this deal succeeds, it would be a huge success for Louis van Gaal and they think Gareth Bale could be lured by a sensational return to English football this summer.

The former Tottenham hitman was desperate to succeed since joining Madrid but is now waiting anxiously what role he will be offered under new manager Zidane and some suggesting there is a little doubt as to whether Bale will be as central to his plans.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is keen to see the Welshman to become Cristiano Ronaldo’s successor as the club’s biggest star.

However, Manchester United executive Ed Woodward believes if they can capture Bale, it will be a massive hit among the United fans and there is a genuine suggestion that the on-going managerial merry-go-round can help their bid rather than hinder the chances to finally snatch the Real Madrid star.

It is suggested that United would have to place a bid in excess of £75m and that would subsequently  give Real Madrid the spending power to rebuild their team under new coach Zidane.
