Man City 1-1 Celtic: Twitter Reacts As Pep Guardiola's Men Play Out A Dull Draw 1

Manchester City, it seems, have still not recovered from the thrashing they received at the hands of Chelsea last week as they played out a dull 1-1 stalemate against Celtic in their final Champions League group game.

The match had little significance as Pep Guardiola’s men were already assured of a spot in the knockout round while the Scottish champions had no chance of qualifying for the Europa League.

Bredon Rodger’s men started in emphatic manners as Patrick Roberts fired them to lead after only 4 minutes. However, the lead lasted for only a short period of time as Kelechi Iheanacho hit the equaliser in the eighth minute. The game slowed down considerably after the break as neither of the team was looking keen to build any substantial attack. Celtic winger Gary Mackay-Steven, who came off the bench, came close to scoring but his curling shot was claimed by Willy Caballero. City responded quickly with a break that saw Nolito finding the back of the net through a Jesus Navas cross but he was marginally offside. Both the sides failed to finish the chances that came afterwards as the game ended in a pale draw.
