Manchester City are the front runners in signing Paul Pogba from Juventus in the summer. After finishing 2nd in the league, City aim to bounce back next season and signing Pogba is seen as the perfect signal of intent by the Citizens.
Pogba was once on the books of Man City’s cross town rivals Manchester United. Since leaving United, Pogba has gone on to become one of the best midfield players in the world.
According to the Sun, City are preparing a massive £85million offer for Pogba, which will see £45million as the transfer fee to Juventus and £40million in wages for the player.
According the reports from the Sun, City’s executives met with Pogba representatives last week and got a go-ahead from them to sign the highly rated player from Juventus.
Pogba’s worth can be understood with the fact that every major European team wants to sign the French international star. Likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Pogba’s former club Manchester United are in race to sign Pogba in the summer.
Despite the worldwide attention in the player, Manchester City seems to be the most likely destination for Paul Pogba.
This would put massive dent in Manchester United’s hopes of signing the player. The Old Trafford outfits would have never dreamt of seeing Paogba come back to haunt them as one of the world’s best and that too join Manchester City of all the teams.
