Manchester City outcast to make Premier League comeback under Antonio Conte?

Antonio Conte was one of the busier managers in the summer transfer window leading to the Premier League.

The manager had to make two deadline day signings to make his team competitive in the current season of the Premier League but those big money signings do not seem enough to help the Blues post a title challenge this season.

The back to back losses against Liverpool and Arsenal have not helped their cause and the manager is now counting his days before the transfer window is open and he can get some reinforcements.

This has seen Conte keep tabs on some of the top class players in Europe but in a bizarre story doing the rounds today, Chelsea are linked with a move for a Manchester City outcast.

England international Joe Hart, who was deemed unfit to play for Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, moved to Italy to play for Torino on loan.

He has taken no time to settle into the domestic league in Italy and has already helped his side with some brilliant performances.

And it is now understood that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to get his hands on Hart, to replace Thibaut Courtois in the starting XI this season.

The Belgian international has not made the best start to the current Premier League season and has not been able to fill the manager with confidence yet. The likes of Asmir Begovic are still waiting in the ranks but Conte may have his eyes set on the English shot-stopper and is planning a move for him according to reports.

It is revealed that the former Italian boss was present for Torino’s 2-1 victory over Fiorentina on Sunday and this has given rise to the rumors about Hart’s move to Chelsea.

Torino boss Sinisa Mihajlovic spoke highly about Joe Hart and the effect he has made at the club since moving to Italy.

He said: “We signed Hart for his enthusiasm, spirit, and experience. Before he arrived I spoke to him to understand his spirit.

“He is a great guy and a wonderful professional, an international level goalkeeper with great charisma. His presence makes the rest of the team feel more confident,” he added.

Though Conte could have made a trip to Turin for more reasons than one, watching Joe Hart play may be the biggest clue yet that he is interested in the shot-stopper for a move in the next transfer window.

It will not be fair on either Courtois or Begovic if they are sold to fund Joe Hart’s move making this story look more of a rumor than a genuine link.

Do you think Chelsea will move for Hart in January or next summer?
