Man City will not raise bid for Raheem Sterling, says to Liverpool: Take 40 million pounds or deal is off
Raheem Sterling is the top priority for the blue half of the Manchester throughout this transfer window and they have made two bids worth £30 million and £40 million respectively for the English international with both the bids being rejected by the Reds.
Liverpool reportedly values the 20 year old as much as £50 million but the Premier League runner up from last time out are unwilling to match the valuation.
Sterling’s transfer saga has been the most interesting in this transfer window.
The youngster rejected contract renewals from Liverpool and threatened to go on strike against the club and not to go on pre season tour with the club.
Today reports are saying that Sterling does not want to stay at Liverpool for manager Brendan Rodgers as he believes that the Northern Irishman has betrayed him.
He is missing Liverpool’s training by calling in sick.
Reports say that angry Liverpool fans turned up at Sterling’s HOUSE on Wednesday morning to threaten him.
He also woke up to find more than 2,000 abusive texts and 1,200 WhatsApp messages on his phone after his number was posted online which was also covered in our previous article.
Now that the Manchester giants are not willing to make an improved third bid for the player, it will be interesting to see how the Sterling saga turns out.
The fans are frustrated with the Englishman and recovering from this will be very tough for the youngman.
Manchester City have been silent in this transfer window with the only signing in the form of Turkish teenager Enes Unal.
