Manchester United have decided to let go Victor Valdes in the summer, according to reports from Daily Star.
The former Barcelona shot-stopper joined Manchester United last year on a free transfer but since then fallen out with manager Louis van Gaal on several occasions.
The pair do not even see eye to eye and Victor Valdes is now all set for the exit door.
Starsport reports, Manchester United board have already told the Spaniard they will happily tear up his current contract and give him the opportunity to walk for free.
The Spanisg goalkeeper, who has played 20 matches for his country, said to have received few offers in the summer window.
One offer was from Fenerbahce but Valdes was not interested on a move to Turkey.
His agents are now searching for a new club for the 33-year-old Spaniard.
However, Valdez is not the only high-profile star with whom Butch boss van Gaal has fallen out since he took charge at Old Trafford in 2014.
The Dutch tactician has also had rocky relations with Marcos Rojo and David De Gea while former United stars like Rio Ferdinand have heavily criticised him for his tactics.
Apparently, Sergio Romero has replaced Victor Valdes as United’s No2 goalkeeper.
Among the interested clubs, Cruz Azul are now leading the race to land the United outcast. The Spaniard has also received offers from Club America and Veracruz this season.
However, the Barcelona connection has made Cruz Azul the most favourite club to sign Valdes. With former Barca teammate Marc Crosas on the books, the Spaniard is said to be interested to reunite with him at Cruz Azul.
The Mexican giants are hoping to sign Valdes without a fee as his agents are currently negotiating a some sort of payoff from his United contract, which still has 18 months to run, before the goalkeeper opens formal talks with Mexico’s Liga MX Cruz Azul.
