Manchester United Agree Upon Terms With Ajax on Daley Blind’s Transfer
Manchester United (MU), the professional football club management has agreed to terms with the Dutch club Ajax over the transfer of Daley Blind. The club has confirmed on Tuesday (July 17).
The defensive midfielder, in particular, Blind was an integral part of MU during his four-year stay at the club. He signed for Red Devils in 2014 after a wonderful World Cup for the Netherlands.
The Then manager Louis van Gaal made Blind as one of his top priority signings just after taking over at the Old Trafford.

Blind is best known for his ability to play in multiple positions across the field. He can play as a defensive midfielder, centre back and also as a left back. His versatility has helped MU on numerous occasions when injuries disrupted the club’s rhythm.
The Netherlands international Blind had always chipped in with performances during his stay. However, ever since Jose Mourinho took over as manager in 2016, his prominence reduced vastly. He was used more of a rotation player than a starter in the team.
The defender had fallen down the pecking order and managed considerably lesser playing time last season. A return to Ajax will significantly boost his playing time as he will be one of the leaders in the team.
Manchester United still eyeing glory:
Although, many might point out that the club had won FA Cup, EFL Cup and Europa League in the past three seasons, Manchester United have not been at their best since 2013.
Ever since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013, the club went on to spent hundreds of millions on players. But still, after five years and three managers, they are still finding it tough. The void left by Sir Alex is being dearly felt by all Manchester United’s die-hard fans.
The club hasn’t competed for the title in any of these five years. And it would eventually miss the services of Daley Blind.
Although they finished runners last season, they were no match for their cross-city rivals Manchester City (MC). On the other hand, Liverpool also flourished high under Jurgen Klopp.
So, Jose Mourinho has to deliver Premier League title or Champions League title for the club this season to bring back the glory days to Old Trafford.
