As per the recent reports, Manchester United’s record signing Angel Di Maria pledged his future to the club by declaring his desire to shake off his early season woes. Despite the winger’s claims, his future looks uncertain at the club after the news of PSG’s new £45 million bid re-surfaced earlier today.
French newspapers understand that PSG are not letting go of the hopes of signing the Argentine in the summer. PSG want to make Di Maria their marquee signing to build their next season.
Di Maria has struggled to adapt to the English game and more importantly, he has failed to adapt to Louis Van Gaal’s tactics and philosophy. PSG want to take advantage of the situation and want to sign the player for a reported fee of £45 million.
Di Maria was signed by Man United for a hefty £59.6 million from Real Madrid and Old Trafford outfit will have to take a substantial cut on the player if they sell him this summer since his performance has significantly dipped down and he cannot command the fee which he was bought for.
Van Gaal and his teammates see Di Maria as a phenomenal player and someone who will be responsible to shape United’s next season. Selling Di Maria looks to be way off the cards at the moment but PSG will not go away quietly, thus leaving a niggling level of uncertainty among United fans on Di Maria’s future.
