Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal have received a huge boost in their pursuit of West Ham United star Dimitri Payet as Marseille have reportedly lost their interest in the midfielder.
One of the best performers in the Premier League last term, the France international is desperate to leave the struggling Hammers. The midfielder, who scored nine goals and registered 12 assists in his debut season, agreed on a new five-year deal at the club last February, making him the highest-paid player in West Ham’s history, but he has now grown frustrated at the London stadium and is desperately looking to quit.

He was heavily linked with a move to Marseille after informing the Hammers of a wish to return to his former club for family reasons. However, the Sky Sports has reported that the French giants are now all set to look for alternatives as they are not interested in signing the French star anymore. The report claimed that the London outfit is demanding £30m but Marseille are not willing to pay more than £25m which means the Payet’s hopes of moving to his native country is all but over.
Well, the news will be a huge boost for United, Chelsea and Arsenal who are highly interested in the talented midfielder.
The Daily Star, a couple of days ago, had claimed that the Red Devils and West Ham have spoken to Payet’s representative to find out if the player is interested in playing in England anymore. With Michael Carrick ageing and Paul Pogba still struggling to find his feet in the Premier League, Jose Mourinho would be surely keen to sign a proven player like Payet.
The Daily Star have also reported that Arsenal have opened talks with West Ham to sign the midfielder. Arsene Wenger had previously ruled out the possibility of making a move for Payet but with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez yet to pen down a new deal, Wenger, it seems, is eyeing for their replacement. On the other hand, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to sign the West Ham star after missing out on Bayern Munich ace Arturo Vidal.
