Mourinho reveals his metaphor for United’s schedule next month:

Manchester United face Stoke this weekend and will come back into the Premier League with games against Liverpool and Chelsea. They play Fenerbahce away from home in the middle and then face Manchester City in the League Cup after Chelsea.

Mourinho felt that his team’s schedule is like a ‘poisoned gift’ and said that he would have liked it to be different. “We could have played Liverpool on the Saturday or on the Sunday. We play Liverpool on the Monday, so maybe we don’t have the best conditions,” Mourinho said. (Daily Mail)

Fitness boost for Mourinho:

The Manchester United manager had to deal with a number of injuries in the first few weeks of the new Premier League season.

He missed some star players for the game against Zorya but Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Luke Shaw are now back in contention for a place in the starting XI against Stoke City this weekend. (IBT)
