Manchester United daily digest: transfer news and more

Jose Mourinho’s side will be going into the last week before the International Break with some confidence after the thumping victory over Leicester City at the weekend.

The manager has revealed that he hopes his team gets better from here and the players will hope that they can keep some consistency in the game.

It has been yet another busy day at Old Trafford with a number of stories keeping the fans of the club busy on social media. Here are all such stories along with transfer rumors that are doing the rounds in the papers today:

Club legend close to landing first manager job?

Ryan Giggs, one of the many star players for Manchester United in the last decade, has been without a job since Jose Mourinho took over the Old Trafford outfit.

He was the assistant manager at the club under the previous manager but is now looking at a job at a Premier League club. Swansea City, who are pondering over sacking Guidolin this early in the season, have opened talks with the 42-year old over a move back to his home land. (The Times).

West Ham starlet on the radar:

Manchester United have an eye on some of the best youngsters in the game in Europe and are looking to pounce on one Bruce Oxford.

The 17-year old is creating loads of waves around the country with what he has achieved at the London club in recent times and is wanted by a host of clubs from Europe. His contract talks with West Ham are currently on hold and United want to take advantage of the situation. (ESPN)

Mourinho eyes Real Madrid star:

Real Madrid attacker Isco has been linked with a move away from Spain on more than one occasions from the previous two transfer windows.

He is yet again linked with a move to England, with Manchester United desperate for an attacker to replace Wayne Rooney who has been disastrous this season. AC Milan is the other club interested in the Spaniard but United are ready to make a move in January. (The Sun)

Star Spaniard to be offered a new deal:

Not long ago, Juan Mata was a player Jose Mourinho did not have in his plans for the second time in the last 4 years. However, this time around, the Spaniard has made a better impression on the manager.

Mata, who was close to a move away from the club in the summer, has now impressed Mourinho so much that he is ready to offer him a new long term contract in days to come. (The Sun)

Atleti man offered to United:

Manchester United have s decent relationship with most high end agents and one such agent has now offered the club a chance to sign one of the most exciting players from Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Ghana international midfielder Bernard Mensah who moved to Spain on a 6-year contract last summer, is now offered to Manchester United by super agent Jorge Mendes. It is to be seen if Mourinho is ready to accept the move for the youngster. (The Sun)

AC Milan ready to offer Manchester United outcast a chance:

The Italian outfit are desperate to add some quality players to their squad and will hope to land a big player in the next transfer window.

And Manchester United flop Memphis Depay is high on their transfer wish list. The £25m rated Dutch international has not been able to the impress the new manager Jose Mourinho and may even be up for sale in January giving AC Milan a chance to snatch him up. (Daily Mail)
