Manchester United daily digest: transfer stories and more

Manchester United will not be too gutted with a point from their trip to Anfield as Jose Mourinho revealed that it was a result that was apt after the situation of the game.

This draw keeps United in the 6th place on the points table and they will now turn their attention towards their Europa League fixture against Fenerbahce.

However, that has not stopped the club from being linked to a number of players and here are all such stories and transfer rumors coming out of Old Trafford today:

FA asks Mourinho to explain himself:

The Manchester United manager was vocal about his opinion on Anthony Taylor, the referee for the Liverpool vs United game.

“I think Mr. Taylor is a very good referee but I think somebody with intention is putting such a pressure on him that I feel that it will be difficult for him to have a very good performance,” Mourinho said.

He is now contacted by the Football Association for his observations on his comments about referee Anthony Taylor prior to the goalless draw at Liverpool. (Eurosport)

Manchester City v Everton - Premier League

United desperate for Everton star:

Manchester United have been recently linked with a move for Everton right-back Seamus Coleman.

Mourinho is desperate to bring £25m-rated Coleman to Old Trafford, two years after the Republic of Ireland was strongly linked with Man United when David Moyes was at the club. (Metro)
