Often called as the Super Agent of football, Jorge Medes has given Manchester United a strange deal to agree upon if they want to keep David De Gea at the club next season.
Mendes has asked told the club that, they must keep Radamel Falcao for a second season as well in order to keep the Spanish keeper at Old Trafford amid the interest from Real Madrid.
Manchester United are yet to decide on Falcao’s deal whether they want to make it a permanent one or not and this is why despite a 200,000-a-week contract being offered to De Gea, no agreement has been reached.
It is believed that, after the torrid season at Old Trafford, Falcao’s market value has significantly dropped and no other club is willing to take a gamble on the Colombian and since he is already with Man United, Mendes is trying to get the deal through.
Real Madrid have still not given up on the United keeper but are getting frustrated with De Gea’s delay in making a decision. Mendes is wary of Spanish club’s harsh reaction thus he is inserting a clause to safeguard interest of two of his clients.
It will be a strange deal, if Van Gaal does agree to it as he has a reputation of holding his own end of the bargain rather fiercely. Manchester United are linked with a move for Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris as the proper replacement for De Gea.
