Manchester United, Juventus set to battle for out of favour Ateltico Madrid striker
As per the latest reports, Juventus are ahead of Manchester United as both the club are looking to sign Atletico Madrid’s striker Mario Mandzukic. The 29-year old ahs been in fine form having scored 21 goals for Spanish giants last season.
The Croatian is reportedly unhappy at Atletico Madrid and would like to move away this summer. The striker has drawn interest from a host of Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs but Italian giants Juventus are considering favorites to sign him.
The Sun claims a top Atletico Madrid source said: “Atletico are expecting Juventus to make a bid very soon. They have already been told that the Italians want to make a deal.”
Manchester United are looking for a quality striker up front as both Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez looks to move away from Old Trafford. Juventus are also in the market for a quality striker as Carlos Tevez is looking to move away from Turin after a fantastic season with Juventus.
The player is known for his aerial threat and work ethic as he is one of very few strikers who would track back to help the defenders in defence.
