Manchester United had a very disappointing result in the last weekend as their 11 games unbeaten run came to an end when Southampton defeated the Red Devils 1-0 at home.

Louis Van Gaal’s side showed poor performance and couldn’t manage one single shot on the target and in return were defeated by Koeman’s Southampton at Old Trafford.

Though the first team players didn’t show much of an impact and were seen struggling at home on Sunday. A lot of players who are on season long loan are catching attention as they are impressing with their performances.

Let’s take a look at Manchester United’s loaned out players and how they are doing.

Javier Hernandez – Real Madrid

Javier Hernandez in his debut season scored 20 goals and helped Manchester United to win the Premier League and also reach the finals of Champions League but the Mexican was loaned to Real Madrid after just featuring 2 times for United under the Dutchman.

Chichirato was given the number 14 shirt which was available as Xabi Alonso moved to Bayern Munich. Hernandez made his first appearance against Real’s defeat to Atletico Madrid and scored first two goals against Deportivo were he came in as a substitute in the 77th minute. The 26 year old Mexican has scored four goals for Madrid in 14 appearances and has failed to become a first team regular.

Nani – Sporting Lisbon

When Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford in 2009 a lot was expected from Nani who was thought to fill the large gap. And he delivered the same as he was one of the best performers for United since the Red Devils won Premier League in 2010-2011. But the Portuguese International lost his consistency and was loaned out to his former club Sporting Lisbon when Van Gaal took in charge of the Red Devils.

Nani has been impressive so far in Portugal after scoring seven times in 17 appearances for Sporting and having 5 assists to his name.

Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace

Wilfried Zaha was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson’s in January 2013 but the successor David Moyes wasn’t impress by the striker. Moyes didn’t give him a single start in his debut season and Van Gaal also had the same notion as the Scot, resulting in the 22 year return to Crystal Palace on loan.

Zaha since his return to Crystal Palace didn’t had a good time resulting in a frustrating run at Selhurst Park. But he played an instrumental role in Palace win against Tottenham on Saturday as he came in as substitute with the scores equal.

Ben Pearson – Barnsley

Ben Pearson is one of the most promising young players in England right now. And with his wonderful talent in the midfield the youngster is destined to get into Manchester United first team in future.

The 20 year old is compared to become the likes of Pual Scholes in future and the young player made his first senior debut on Saturday and showed man of the match performance when Barnsley defeated Yeovil Town 2 – 0 on Saturday.

Reece James – Rotherham United

Reece James has shown impressive performances for Rotherham United where he was loaned out from Manchester United in 2014. The 21 year old full back has appeared 7 times for Rotherham and has only tasted defeat once when they were defeated by Brentford in there last fixture.

Guillermo Varela – Real Madrid Castilla

Varela was the first signing to join Red Devils under manager David Moyes. But despite being a regular player of the U21 team Guillermo wasn’t given a start for the first team.

The Uruguayan joined Real Madrid B side in September 2014 and since then has gained attention and lots of praise due to his exhibitions for the Castilla’s. Head Coach Zinedine Zidane has praised about the 21 year old skills and is keen to sign him on a permanent deal.

Angelo Henriquez – Dinamo Zagreb

Manchester United signed Angelo from Universidad de Chile for £4m in 2012 but never played a single game for the Red Devils and ultimately was loaned to Wigan and Real Zaragoza before joining Zagreb for a season long loan.

Henriquez has so far played wonderfully for Dinamo as he has scored ten goals for them this season. According to latest news, Manchester United can be selling the 20 year old to Zagreb for £1m.
