Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has reportedly contacted Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez for  a sensational 70 million euro move to switch to Old Trafford from Emirates.

Spanish outlet ”Don Balon”, who are believed to be close to Barcelona, has claimed that ”Red devils boss LVG has told Sanchez that he will be a ‘cornerstone’ of his project at Manchester United as he plans an audacious raid on the gunners.”

PSG has also been monitoring him for a long time.

Sanchez has scored 7 goals from 11 matches this season and is in stunning form. But, it is almost certain that Arsenal won’t sell Sanchez to United.

Reports from Spain claim that Real Madrid is eyeing Sanchez as they want him to return to Spain.

Don Balon also claims that Real Madrid are genuinely exploring the possibility of tempting him back to Spain and to evade the spending powers of United and PSG, Real may offer the gunners a swap deal of Benzema-Sanchez. Some sources claim that Manchester United are going for Sanchez after knowing the Real Madrid interest.

But, Arsenal are likely to give a new improved deal to Sanchez, that will make him the highest paid Arsenal player.

Manchester United are desperately at the dire need of a classy, pacey winger who can score and assist. With Depay’s form on the decline, Sanchez will hugely bolster the United attack.

Arsenal bought Sanchez for $35 million and if Gunners indeed sell Sanchez, the asking price will surely be over $50 million.

Martha Kelner says,” The gunners have thrown off their reputation as a selling club in recent times.”

Arsenal and Man Utd are currently on the same point at the Premier League table. Both are pushing for a title challenge, a player of his calibre will certainly provide a huge impetus to the title challenge.

Given Arsenal’s poor performance in the Champions’ League, if Sanchez wants to have Champions League glory and pedigree, he may leave this summer. Then, PSG  or Real will be his likely destination.

We all remember how Sir Alex Ferguson shocked the football world by buying Arsenal’s top scorer Robin Van Persie back in 2012, Van Gaal is trying to do the same.
