Manchester United to put summer buy up for sale in January 1

Manchester United are in a spot of bother at the moment, losing some important ground at the top of the table, having gone two games without a win the domestic league early this campaign.

They face a tough test against their rivals Manchester City in the League Cup Round of 16 and Jose Mourinho will hope that his side can take revenge of the loss in the first meeting between the two sides in the Premier League.

The Manchester United manager spent close to £150m in the transfer market in the summer but is yet to make the kind of an impact on the league that was expected of his squad this season.

The likes of Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have all impressed in bits and pieces but are yet to produce the kind of performance that the manager wanted from them this season.

But one player who came into the side this summer, but is yet to make any kind of an impact is former Borussia Dortmund man Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Hull City v Manchester United - Premier League

The 27-year old Armenian international had a stellar season in the Bundesliga for the Iduna Park outfit last campaign and secured a £30m move to Manchester United this summer.

However, he has not been able to keep himself fit and find a run of games in the side and has made just 4 appearances so far this season.

Mkhitaryan suffered a thing injury even before the start of the domestic season and that has wrecked his plans at the club early this season.

But it is now understood that Jose Mourinho is less than impressed with the work he is putting in for the club and is ready to let him leave in January.

Yes, just 6 months after making a move to the Premier League, Henrikh Mkhitaryan may be kicked out of Old Trafford, even before getting a chance to prove himself.

He scored 23 goals in 51 appearances in all competition last season for Dortmund and was in the form of his life before his move to Manchester.

However, Mourinho does not feel like he has a future at the club and is now ready to listen to offers from the club for him in the summer.

It is also reported that Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk are front runners for his signature and if Mkhitaryan is sole, it will represent a huge shift in quality for the 27-year old in the last 12 months.

From playing in the Champions League with Dortmund to moving to Donetsk in Ukraine, Mkhitaryan’s career will take a fall for the worse if the move materializes and it will be interesting to see if Mourinho is really ready to let him go in January.

He is a top class player who can help the side when fit and Mourinho is better off having him in the team till the end of the season. Do you think Mkhitaryan should be sold this January?
