Manchester United and Jose Mourinho will be busy preparing for their trip to Istanbul for their game against Fenerbahce on Thursday as they look to find some consistency this season.
They were held to a dull draw at Old Trafford by Burnley at the weekend, a game that dropped them to the 8th place in the points table with just 8 points separating them from the top of the table and also the relegation zone.
It is not the kind of a start to the season that the Red Devils were expecting, especially after the millions of dollars spent in the transfer window and Jose Mourinho is now under serious pressure to perform for the rest of the season.
They have already lost plenty of ground at the top of the table and will need an incredible run to go all the way this season and the manager is now looking at improving the squad to try and get back to winning ways.
A number of star players have been linked with a move to the club in recent times and one such player who could make the move to Old Trafford is Real Madrid star James Rodriguez.
The Colombian international, who made 32 appearances for the Los Blancos last season, has fallen severely out of favor at the club this season and is fighting for his place off the bench.
He has produced a couple of decent performances recently but the rise of Marco Asensio has seen the 25-year old get no regular playing time at the club.
He was linked with a move to Old Trafford by United were not yet ready to pay big for their transfer target who stayed back in Spain.
He is now valued at £72m and Manchester United, who are desperate for some additions to their attack are now pondering over meeting the valuation in January.
The amount of quality in the Real Madrid squad will see Zidane take no time in selling the player if his price his paid and if United can add him to their squad, it will be a great addition for the rest of the season.
However, Manchester United will have to fight it out with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea from England and PSG from France to fend off interests for the former Monaco star in January.
Rodriguez is still one of the most exciting attackers in Europa and a change in league might just be what he needs to get back to full form. He is a genuine match winner on his day and will surely improve this Manchester Unite squad.
