Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has slammed Manchester United for their treatment towards German legend Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The 32-year old has signed for Manchester United last summer under Louis van Gaal but was left out with reserves by new manager Jose Mourinho as he has not even played a single minute under the Portuguese manager this season.
‘I believe that Manchester United could 100 per cent benefit from a fit Bastian Schweinsteiger,’ Gundogan told Sport Bild.
‘If everything you hear and read is true, you can consider it disrespectful. He’s not just some player, and also not only 18 or 19.’
