According to the latest reports from Spain, Manchester United have opened talks with Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent over a shock deal to sign the Real Madrid star player.
The portugese International have seen a sudden dip in form after winning his third Ballon d’Or recently and his future remains in doubt at Bernabau. With recent 4-3 loss to Schalke the fans jeered at the team for their successive poor performances despite progressing to quarterfinals of Champions League.
Recent reports suggest that the Red Devils have contacted Jorge Mendes who acts as an agent for Ronaldo about a possible transfer to Old Trafford. The 30-year still remains fan favorite breaking most of the records existing at Real Madrid during his six year spell at Bernabeu.
However, Florentino Perez is considering to cash in on the Ballon d’Or winner as his prime years are about to be finished in a few years and his price would decrease considerably over time. Meanwhile, Manchester United are looking for pace in their fast attacking play as they dont have enough quality on the wings.
The 30-year old still remains fan favorite back at Old Trafford and often expresses his love to United fans for their support during his spell with Manchester United. The Red Devils are hoping to get Ronaldo for around €100 euros, which works out as £71.1 million pounds.
It is still unclear whether Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.
