Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain target Dani Alves is set to leave FC Barcelona at the end of current campaign.
The right-back’s current contract is up in the summer, and the Brazilian will hold a press conference on Tuesday to announce his decision, as confirmed by Cadena SER.
The Blaugrana tried negotiating with the 32-year-old after their progression to the semi-finals of the Champions League and winning the Liga, but the final round of negotiations didn’t bear fruit which would see Alves exit the Camp Nou.
It was revealed in February that Manchester United were close to signing the former Sevilla man, with the players representative Dinorah Santa Ana confirming that they were in advanced talks with another club.
“We are close to signing for another club. We are in advanced talks.”
“Dani is still available for Barcelona to keep hold of this summer, but he will not wait for them for much longer.”
“People are trying to make Dani look like the bad guy in this situation and that’s wrong. This situation is quite tiresome.”
Dani Alves will end his 7-year stint with Barcelona when he leaves in the summer
This was followed by the agent confirming that Barcelona had offered Alves an extension to stay in Spain, also claiming that the deal was ‘unsatisfactory.’
“We waited a whole year to talk to Barca,” Santa Ana said. “We had two offers on the table, but we stopped all negotiations to listen to what Barca had to say.”
“There is another club willing to give Dani a three-year contract with a higher wage, plus the option of another year. But Barca told us they could not get near those figures.
“Dani would be happy to stay on the same wages he is on now, but they offered one year plus the option of two more. This morning, a formal offer arrived by e-mail, but it stipulated that he has to play 60 per cent of the games for it to be renewed the following year.
“Dani is sad. He expected more from Barca. The negotiations are finished now. He will finish his contract as best as he can,” she said
Despite being closely linked with a move to France with Paris Saint-Germain, Santa Ana quelled speculation of an offer from Ligue 1, but confirmed that two clubs have made offers, one of them thought to be Manchester United.
“We do not have an offer from PSG. I cannot say the teams that have already made offers, but there are two of them.”

Dani Alves joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008, for a fee of £23 million excluding add-on’s, and has gone on to make over 300 appearances for the Catalans, winning 16 trophies.
