One of the most consitently linked players with a move to Old Trafford through out this summer is Benfica’s Argentine winger Nicolas Gaitan and the player is hopeful about sealing a move to Manchester United.
Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria looks all set to leave the Theater of Dreams for PSG and the 27 year old is hopeful to replace his compatriot.
Portuguese newspaper O Jogo reported that Gaitan is ready to make his Manchester United move after the clubs agree a €30million (£21m) transfer fee and so much so the player has already appeared in his farewell match against the New York Red Bulls and ha said his goodbyes to Benfica teammates.
The paper also claims that the move is on hold until Di Maria completes his PSG move and as soon as the former Real Madrid star joins the French champions, a move for Gaitan will go through.
Ed Woodward is thought to be pushing hard for the transfer, and it appears only a matter of time before the deal is wrapped up.
Manchester United are also looking to sign Barcelona star Pedro Rodriguez this summer.
Gaitan may also arrive as a replacemnt of Ashley Young who is waiting for a new contract at Old Trafford and van Gaal criticized the player few days ago as he said, “Young is no Neymar”. Although van Gaal may not have literally meant it but the player is unlikely to get a contract at this moment.
