Michael Carrick has still not signed a new contract:
One of the biggest reasons for United’s remarkable turnaround in recent time is Carrick’s presence in the midfield. In Carrick’s 15 appearances this season, Jose Mourinho’s side has won 13 times and drawn two. Moreover, his presence has also allowed Paul Pogba to flourish in the midfield but despite his good form, the 35-year old’s future at the club is not safe.
Jose Mourinho, in November, had said that he was interested in keeping the veteran midfielder at Old Trafford for another season. Carrick’s contract is set to expire after this season and The Sun has reported that he is yet to sign a new deal.
