After eagle-eyed fans spotted a vape on his sofa, Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho deleted and re-posted a slightly altered Instagram story. As he recovers from an ankle injury, the 18-year-old shared a photo of himself watching his side’s 3-1 win over Fulham in the FA Cup from his home. However, when his followers noticed a green vape placed in front of him on the sofa, he quickly removed the photo before re-uploading it without the vape.

But SunSport claim that the electronic cigarette belongs to his father. Manchester United too have declined to entertain the stories surrounding their academy graduate. Alejandro Garnacho, who has five goals and six assists in 32 games this season, injured his ankle during Manchester United’s goalless draw with Southampton last weekend and is now ruled out for weeks.

Fans react after vape spotted in Alejandro Garnacho’s story

Alejandro Garnacho was also seen hobbling on crutches with his right foot covered in a protective boot last week after the Southampton draw. It is still unknown how long he will be out, with many speculating his season might be over. It was also confirmed earlier this week that Garnacho, who was born in Spain but is an Argentine citizen, has decided to play for the World Cup champions.

However, fans were visibly unhappy with his latest antics, where the United starlet quickly deleted the Instagram story which features a vape on his sofa. But the fans’ anger escalated when Garnacho actually edited the vape out and re-posted the same picture. Here are some of their reactions:

Meanwhile, Manchester United advanced to the FA Cup semi-finals with a thrilling win over Fulham on Sunday afternoon. Erik ten Hag’s men fell behind to Aleksandar Mitrovic’s 50th minute striker as they trailed 1-0 with 20 minutes remaining.

However, Fulham winger Willian’s handball resulted in three red cards, including the ex-Chelsea man, Cottagers’ manager Marco Silva, and striker Mitrovic.  Bruno Fernandes converted the ensuing penalty kick, and Marcel Sabitzer completed the comeback moments later. Fernandes then added a third late in the added time to seal the Red Devils’ semifinal clash against Brighton in April.
