Liverpool striker Mario Balotelii could be playing for his third Premier League side after it was revealed earlier today that Newcastle United have made an ambitious inquiry about availability of the star striker.

Balotelli cost Brendan Rodgers £16.5million last summer when the charismatic Italian was bought from the Serie A side AC Milan. So far the Anfield faith-fulls have seen less of that expected charisma however, there have been plenty of nonchalance on show by the mercurial striker.

Liverpool are recruiting players left right and center and it has put the Italian’s place at Anfield in danger. Often seen as the saving grace for Balotelli, Serie A has put their hands up and denied to give him an easy passage to football.

Balotelli can no longer rely on the Serie A to find himself back in form and in contention to move elsewhere. However, when everything looked bleak, Newcastle United have put their hand up (bravely I might add), to inquire about Balotelli’s availability.

Liverpool have added the likes of Roberto Firmino, Danny Ings and Divock Origi as their striker options for next season along with Daniel Sturridge.

At this time, best option for Balotelli looks to be heading out of Anfield but Newcastle would certainly be the most surprising route for his Liverpool exit.
