Massive: Social media post from Sanchez drops hint on his Arsenal future

Alexis Sanchez has curbed rumors of a move away from Arsenal with his latest social media post.

On his way back from international duty, Sanchez posted a picture of himself celebrating with his Arsenal teammates on Instagram. The image was captioned ‘De Vuelta a casa. Coming back home’.

Sanchez’s post will be welcomed by Arsenal fans, who have had to put up with constant speculation regarding the future of their talented number seven.

There has been plenty of discourse surrounding the Chilean’s future at the Emirates. This has only been compounded by rumors, outlined in a report in the  Metro, that Arsenal hit major stumbling blocks whilst attempting to tie Sanchez down to a new-and-improved £250,000-a-week deal.

A host of big clubs swarmed in response to the stalling contract talks. Juventus and Bayern Munich were the two showing the most vested interest in the dynamic and energetic forward, who has started the season in great form.

Since making the transition from a wide left position to replacing Olivier Giroud as Arsenal’s number nine, Sanchez has found goalscoring success, with five goals in his first nine matches of this campaign.

Arsenal fans were therefore extremely keen to see the 27-year-old commit his future to the North London club, and, after protracted contract discussions, it looks as though Sanchez’s social media post has confirmed that his heart still belongs to Arsenal Football Club.

He also included a Union Jack emoticon in his caption of the Instagram picture, eluding to the fact that he is loving life in the United Kingdom. It seems as though Alexis Sanchez is here to stay.

Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is considering leaving Alexis Sanchez out of the team to face Swansea on Saturday, according to some reports in Chile.

The Chile international played 90 minutes for his country against Colombia and Peru during the international break and only returned to England today.

Sanchez is expected train today with his team-mates where Wenger will assess his fitness.

But Chilean outlet Terra claim Wenger is likely to drop the 27-year-old.

Arsenal has a busy schedule with games coming up every three or four days.

However, their next four games – Swansea, Ludogorets, Middlesbrough, and Reading – are all at home.

If Sanchez is forced to miss this weekend’s game, summer signing Lucas Perez could be given the nod in attack as Olivier Giroud is struggling with his fitness.
