Memphis Depay was brought to Manchester United with an idea of instant impact, however, the former PSV man is yet to establish himself as a regular in Louis Van Gaal’s starting XI. Depay has found it tough tp adjust to life in English football and part of the reason is seen as the switch from Eridivise to Premier League.

One of the reasons why fans are left frustrated with Memphis is his lack of public speaking, however, the Dutch star decided to come out in the open earlier today where he described the real reason for his lack of form and assured them of turning things around after his troubled start to the season for Manchester United.

Speaking in an interview, Memphis said: “I think lots of things changed. I’m in a new club right now, it’s a different level [to the Eredivisie],” he told NOS.

“Such things are playing a big role and you’re trying to find your way and it was a bit easy at the start but then I fell back and you could see it in the way I played.

“But you can assume that I’m busy with working on that and getting back to the top.
“I feel fit and I’m trying to show on the training ground that I’m doing my best to perform well.

“People are used to see me score and that shall also come, it just takes a bit longer now but you’ll have to find that form again.”

These words would surely instill a lot of confidence to United supporters as they are eager to see their £25million man turn on impressive performances as the season goes along.
