Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil, is reportedly engaged to 2014’s Miss Turkey winner, Amine Gulse. After dating over the past year, the couple plan on getting married in July, The Sun reports.

Both Ozil and Gulse have been seen out in London together with teammates and friends.Notice the ring on Ozil’s fourth finger. They were most recently spotted at the Huqqa restaurant in London and a shisha cafe in Istanbul.

While both have denied that there is anything more than friendship between them, they’ve each been spotted recently wearing engagement rings. As well as a modelling career, Amine has featured in Turkish TV series, Asla Vazgecmem.

Her soon to be husband, who joined Arsenal in 2013 for £42.5 million, is said to be house hunting in Istanbul, with a modest budget of £5m. Despite Amine being born in Sweden, and Mesut in Germany, the couple both have ties to Turkey.

The pair was also reported to have checked out two of Istanbul’s most prestigious hotels in the Ciragan and the Four Seasons, both on the Bosphorus, – the Ciragan being a former palace – as potential wedding party locations.

Ozil’s footballing future is currently up in the air, with contract talks stalling due to the former Real Madrid and Schalke man’s wage demands. Maybe a move to the Turkish league could be on the cards for the 28-year-old.

The German superstar has often come under criticism for his displays in Premier League. despite going through purple patches of form, Ozil often seems to disappear against the top teams.

The World Cup winner has only four assists to his name this season and has a long way to go before reaching the heights of last term, where he managed 19.
