Mohamed Salah had carried his team to the UCL final last year against Real Madrid, but due to an injury mid-game he was substituted. With Salah being off the pitch Liverpool lost the match 3-1 to Madrid. The best season of his life was ruined by an injury, but he came back stronger with his team and lifted the 2019 UCL trophy.

Mohamed Salah was a huge bargain for Liverpool, who bought him for €38 million from Roma. In the current transfer market Salah is worth a very hefty amount. Salah first played for F.C Basel in Europe and was transferred to Chelsea in 2014 for €15 million. He wasn’t given enough playing time in Chelsea and was loaned for the season of 2015 to Fiorentina in the Seria A. After a season on loan in Fiorentina, Chelsea sent him to A.S Roma on another loan deal and sold him the very next season in a €20 milllion deal to Roma.

Salah scored a total of 29 goals in 65 matches for Roma. Liverpool came in running for Salah in 2017 and bought him for €38 million.

Salah currently earns a salary of 11 million euros per season and his current Anfield deal expires in 2023.

Following Ronaldo’s exit from Real Madrid C.F in 2018, Salah was one of the strikers on Madrid shortlist but with a huge price tag Madrid hesitated to make an impulsive move for the forward.
