Must Watch: How This Arsenal Star Humiliates Even Great Footballers!!
Mesut Ozil is widely regarded as one of the world’s best playmakers.
Ask an Arsenal fan and they’d probably argue that Ozil is *the* best playmaker on the planet.
The German World Cup winner doesn’t score as many goals as he probably should, given his immense quality, while his record in the big matches is a little suspect. When he’s on song, however, very few defenders can live with the assist king.
Ozil began his career with Schalke in 2006 before moving on to Werder Bremen two years later.
He began to attract the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs and it was Real Madrid who won the race for his signature following his eye-catching performances at the 2010 World Cup finals.
Ozil spent three years at the Bernabeu – where he struck up an effective on-pitch relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo – but he left the Spanish giants in the summer of 2013 after they spent a world record fee on Gareth Bale.
His first season at the Emirates Stadium was tough. He struggled to produce his best form and was heavily criticised by the British press. And it was a similar story the season after.
However, Ozil was superb last season – particularly during the first half of the campaign – and has continued from where he left off during the opening months of this term.
The 28-year-old finally looks at home at Arsenal. He’s the main man and so much good that the Gunners produce goes through the silly left-footed maestro.
If Arsenal are to end their long wait for the Premier League trophy, Ozil will no doubt have played a pivotal role.
Defenders must hate playing against Arsenal’s No. 11, who rarely lets his opponents get close to him.
Sir Alex Ferguson once nicknamed Ozil ‘The Ghost’ because of his ability to find space between the lines. Now you see him, now you don’t.
And, as this recently-uploaded video on YouTube proves, Ozil also has a penchant for humiliating great players.
The video shows the Germany international embarrassing some truly great players – Andres Iniesta, Philipp Lahm, Xabi Alonso and Ashley Cole among many others – during his illustrious career.
So sit back for five minutes and enjoy watching a genius at work.
