Neymar has rekindled his feud with Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappe, by liking an Instagram post criticizing the Frenchman.  After a feud erupted over who should take penalties earlier in the season, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Luis Campos lashed out at both Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Tensions seem to have reappeared, with the Brazilian ‘liking’ postings on social media that were disparaging of his teammate Mbappe and his new deal at the club. It comes after reports surfaced that Lionel Messi and Mbappe are in a ‘conflict’ over the future of teammate Neymar, with the Frenchman allegedly raising concerns about the Brazilian’s lack of discipline and fondness for Paris nightlife.

Neymar makes feelings clear over Mbappe amidst potential summer departure

There is apparently antagonism between the two superstars at the Parc des Princes due to Neymar’s standing at the club, with many reports last season highlighting the severity of the dressing room rift. A lack of discipline and effective leadership in the ranks has been a recurring topic at PSG in recent years.

PSG has gone into meltdown in recent days, with fans in anger after another disappointing season. Lionel Messi has been punished after travelling to Saudi Arabia without permission, effectively terminating his career with the club before his contract expires in the summer. PSG fans have turned on Neymar as well, with a group gathering outside his house on Wednesday to demand that he leave the club.

Neymar liked a video of a Brazilian journalist annihilating Mbappe and PSG. The words of the journalist liked by Neymar were: “This PSG team is the worst in recent years!” Why? Because they renewed their prince for an extraordinary amount”. Neymar seems to have answering the protests through social media, after he also likes posts slamming the Parisian club.

The ex-Barca star has targeted PSG by liking a social media post that portrays the club as “small” and lacking in history. Fans discovered on Thursday that he had liked an Instagram post that was highly disparaging of PSG. The post, which was translated from French, stated:

“The difference between being great and having greatness! PSG misses, and misses, misses and misses its fans! Having history is not optional, positioning yourself as great and having a great attitude is within reach! They are so small! I was clear!”

Neymar also posted a heartfelt message on his Instagram story to share his thoughts. It was written in Portuguese and translated as follows: “Don’t let people put you in their storm, put them in your peace.”

PSG anticipates significant changes after the season concludes. Messi will leave when his contract expires at the end of June, bringing his two-year tenure in Paris to an end, and he will not be alone. Neymar’s and Kylian Mbappe’s futures are uncertain as well as president Nasser Al-Khelaifi plans a strategy shift.

The club’s galacticos strategy, led by the front three of Neymar, Messi, and Mbappe, is coming to an end, with the club preparing to shift gears and focus on young players instead. Neymar’s contract expires in June 2025, with an option for a further year. He joined the club from Barcelona in August 2017 for a world record sum of £198 million, and he has 118 goals and 77 assists in 173 matches.
