After Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta announced on Friday that it will be his last season with his boyhood club, the social media exploded with tweets and posts praising the Spanish midfielder.
Among all, the one that stood out the most is from Iniesta’s former Barcelona team-mate Neymar Jr. The Brazilian star paid a classy tribute to his former captain and admitted that he fell in love with his football and even more for his personality.
“Maestro, what an honour to be part of your trajectory in Barcelona, I’ve admired you from far away and after I went closer I fell in love even more for your football and much more for the person you are out of the field,” Neymar said.
Neymar played two seasons with Iniesta in Barcelona and had the opportunity to celebrate many goals, many trophies and what not. The Brazilian forward said he will always keep saying about these memories to his family and friends.

After Barcelona’s shock exit from the Champions League, rumours started to explode that it was the last Champions League for Spanish midfielder and just after few days it turned out to be true as the legendary midfielder announced in a press conference on Friday that its his last season with Barcelona.
