Cristiano Ronaldo may not be at Manchester United anymore, but his name is still lurking behind at Old Trafford. And it popped up right after the Red Devils’ resounding 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Fred were all on target as Erik ten Hag’s men brushed aside a helpless Forest side in their first league game since Ronaldo’s departure from the club earlier this month.

United are evidently doing a better job game after game without Cristiano Ronaldo, as this was their second consecutive win in all competitions since the 37-year-old left the club with mutual contract termination. Many had a strong feeling that his ego trips were holding a young United team from blossoming, and its just proving to be right. United fans were quick to pick the point, as they reacted to their team’s dominating win over Nottingham Forest with a common feeling of ‘No Ronaldo No Problem’.

Fans react to Cristiano Ronaldo-less United’s brilliant display

A lot of bad blood was drawn between Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United after he dropped a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan wherein he ripped apart the club. He accused United of “betraying” him and Ten Hag of disrespecting him. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was unhappy with the club’s owner the Glazers family for stagnating the club’s progress since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

It was the tipping point of the iceberg as United quickly terminated Ronaldo’s contract before he kicked-off Portugal’s campaign at the World Cup in Qatar. The club has moved on from the soap opera with the same speed as Ten Hag continues to revive the fallen giants. A 2-0 win over Burnley in the Carabao Cup Round of 16 was the perfect response, now followed by the Forest win. But fans haven’t forgotten Cristiano Ronaldo, as here are some of their reactions to United’s wholesome win.
