The mighty Gunners are looking out to splurge some cash in this transfer window which takes place in January, unlike their former transfer business. The North London club has been facing injury crisis with the ever increasing number of players been added on the injury sheet. This has affected the overall performance of the club. However, boss Wenger is right up on his duty to look for potential signings in January. This time, the rival teams of North London are behind the same player. The arch rivals are reported to be targeting the 18 year old striker from FC Basel who goes by the name of Breel Embolo.

Breel-Donald Embolo plays is a Swiss professional footballer. The lad represents FC Basel in the Swiss Super League and also plays as a striker or midfield for the U21 football team of Switzerland. Embolo spent his youth career at Nordstern, Old Boys and Basel. Embolo primarily plays as a centre forward. He can also play as a right winger or a secondary striker. Embolo’s current market value is approximately €16,000. Breel is right footed and posses a pass success rate of nearly 80.3% in UEFA Europa League.

The Swiss youngster, 18, is contracted to Basel until the summer of 2019, with his employers valuing the player at £21m. Arsenal will face competition from their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur while trying to sign the player. No news on a bid being put up has been out. However, the price tag looks a bit over the mark for the youngster.
