It is official now that Belgian international midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has joined Premier League giants Manchester City on a six-year deal from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
Manchester City who were linked with a move for this world class midfielder has finally confirmed the news via Twitter. The player has been given jersey number 17 at the club. The transfer fee amount is yet to be confirmed.

Kevin De Bruyne sounded ecstatic after joining the Premier League giants for club record transfer fee. After signing for the club, the Belgian to the club’s official website and said: “I think the last few weeks there was a lot press in here and Germany, I still kept on playing and training so I think this is good to stay professional, we were just waiting as everything was falling into place.
“Now I can play football again and all the stuff stays in your head and its to play 100% at a good level.
“The premier League is probably the best league in the world. I had a great time in Germany. It was a successful one and a half year at the club. Now its a new challenge to be better as a player and hopefully I can do good.”
City manager Manuel Pellegrini said: “We are very happy to have added Kevin to our team and I have no doubt that he will be a big success on his return to the Premier League.
“It takes a special footballer to improve our squad and I have no doubt that Kevin is certainly one of those – he has all of the mental, physical, tactical and technical attributes required to fit straight in.
“We like to play attractive, attacking football and bringing in a player like De Bruyne will only aid us as we fight on four fronts.”
