Luca Antonelli is officially a Milan player, the club have announced, after completing a move from Genoa.
The defender arrives on loan until the end of the season, with a clause which means the Rossoneri can buy him for an agreed €4.5m in the summer.
The Italian international has already declared that he feels like he’s coming home to Milan, and the club has now confirmed his return to the club where he started his career.
“Luca Antonelli has signed a contract with Milan until June 30, 2018,” the Diavolo confirmed on their official website.
“The new AC Milan defender chose the shirt number 31 at Casa Milan, and met with fans at the Museo Mondo Milan.”
“I thank Genoa for this opportunity. I hope to do well, because I have truly come home,” Antonelli told reporters.
“The only club that could make me change my mind on leaving Genoa was Milan and that proved to be the case. I am happy. I spoke to Galliani, but not Inzaghi yet. I feel great and can’t wait to get started.”
AC Milan is also on the verge of signing Gabriel Paletta from Parma.
The deal has been completed with Parma, the Italian-Argentine defender is undergoing his medical with Milan. The Rossoneri have been quite active in this transfer window, acquiring the likes of: Cerci, Suso, Bocchetti, Destro, Antonelli and now Paletta.
