Aston Villa have agreed to sign 22 year old French Midfielder Jordan Veretout according to Sport Witness.

Sky Sports confirmed that the Frenchman is going to undergo a medical at Villa Park.

The fee agreed between FC Nantes and Aston Villa is believed to be £7 million.

Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool were also rumoured to be interested in the young Frenchman’s services but the Lions have finally beaten the giants for the young man’s signature.
The 22 year old had a brilliant campaign for the Ligue 1 oufit where he scored 7 goals and assisted 6 times.
Veretout also has good defensive duty with 1.9 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per game as par Whoscored.
Veretout is capped 44 times for different youth set ups of France and also won FIFA under 20 World Cup in 2013 for them.
Aston vila have already made seven major signings this window with major arrivals like Jordan Ayew, Scott Sinclair, Micah Richards, Idrissa Gueye after letting some big names leave Villa Park like Christian Benteke to Liverpool and Fabian Delph to Manchester City.
