Liverpool have successfully completed the signing of QPR central defender Steven Caulker until the end of this season. Caulker’s signing has eased off Jurgen Klopp’s injury nightmare, which has seen the Reds miss out on several first team defenders.

Liverpool confirmed the news moments earlier on their official twitter account, take a look:

Official: Liverpool complete the signing of former EPL defender, will play the Arsenal game 1

Currently, Liverpool are without Dejan Lovren, Martin Skrtel, Joe Gomez and Mamadou Sakho, leaving the club no option but to buy a new defender in January transfer window.

Caulker having played the Premier League football with QPR will be a valuable addition to the club, who are in desperate need of defensive cover.

The 24-year old has even played for England couple of years ago and will not be limited to just squad role this season.

The better news for Liverpool is that all the necessary paper-works concerning Caulker’s move to Anfield has been completed in time for him to feature in the game against Arsenal tomorrow night.

With Caulker arriving on time and Sakho showing signs of recovery, we could be seeing a Caulker-Sakho central defender partnership with Clyne on the right back and Moreno playing from the left back role.
