Real Madrid have confirmed the appointment of Rafael Benitez as their new head coach.
The Spaniard was the front-runner to replace the sacked Carlo Ancelotti at the Santiago Bernabeu, and has finally landed the Madrid capital job.
The 55-year-old had confirmed that his final Serie A game against Lazio would be his last in Naples, fuelling to the speculation that the former Liverpool man is about to join the Champions League winners.
And Los Blancos have now confirmed his appointment with the Spaniard netting a three-year deal.

A statement on Real Madrid’s official website read:
Real Madrid C. F. will present Rafa Benítez as the new first team coach for the next three seasons today, Wednesday 3 June.
The ceremony will take place at 1pm CEST in the presidential box of the Santiago Bernabéu. Following his unveiling, Rafa Benítez will hold a press conference in the press room.
Benitez’s previous job in Spain dates back to 11 years, during his time with Valencia, where he won two La Liga titles with Los Che.
His next stint in England with Liverpool saw him win the FA Cup, the Community Shield, the UEFA Champions League in 2005, and the UEFA Super Cup.
