The month of January is one of the busiest in the English calendar as teams from around the country are busy in three different competitions during the month.

The Premier League was also present to entertain the fans around the world and there were some incredible games throughout the month, which produced some interesting results that helped the points table to its current state.

Arsenal star Olivier Giroud produced a sublime moment in the game against Crystal Palace and it was named the best goal of the month for Arsenal.

However, he missed out on the award for the league as West Ham striker Andy Carroll came up with one of the goals of the season.

Crystal Palace were once again at the receiving end of this goal as the former Liverpool striker was airbound for more than a couple of moments, pulling out an outrageous overhead kick from an acute angle.

This goal in the 2-0 victory was awaredd based on a combination of the votes from the public and those of a panel made up of former managers and players.

Carroll told West Ham’s official website: “I’m delighted to have won the Goal of the Month competition, especially given how good some of the other goals were.

“As soon as I hit it I knew it was in, I got a good connection and knew it would hit the back of the net. It’s definitely the best goal I’ve ever scored, one I’m very proud of, he added.

Wayne Rooney’s freekick against Stoke City late in the game at the BET365 to steal a point was one of the other goals that were nominated.

Lucas Perez’ sumptuous volley in the 3-3 draw against Bournemouth and Marko Arnautovic’s effort in the 3-1 victory for Stoke over Sunderland were also on the list which was headed by Carroll.
