“Since the beginning of my work at Austria Salzburg, I have been repeatedly asked by strangers about how the hooligans behave in the club, and whether there are ‘normal’ fans? Meanwhile, I answer with a smile but also with pride. Austria is a family club that has put children in the heart of everything we do.”

After the Red Bull organisation acquired the original club SV Salzburg and renamed it Red Bull Salzburg, a group of fans established Austria Salzburg in 2005. The first team of Austria Salzburg advanced four times in a row after beginning at the very bottom of the country’s football pyramid. They now compete in Austria’s third level.
